360 Video Production Company

VR is now a prominent media channel that is still offering disproportionate opportunity to those willing to use it. Yoyostring Creative offers professional 360 video production, VR Video, and Immersive experiences.

What Is Virtual Reality (VR)?

Virtual reality is a 3D environment mean to generate an experience inside of you similar to that of actually being there. User use helmets with visuals inside and gloves to replicate the projected environment. Virtual reality is still thought of as a “high tec” system for gaming that nobody uses yet. However, at the end of 2018, there were 37million people who regularly used VR, and it’s projected that 49.2 million will regularly use VR by the end of 2019. Turns out that VR isn’t just for high-end gaming systems either, because 90% of VR use is cell phone generated. People just use their cell phones as the screen.

What Is 360 Video?

360 video is often used interchangeably with VR, but although they both use headsets, they are different. 360 video is a form of photography and filmmaking that can be viewed on a normal 2D screen as well as a headset, where as VR is 3D/computer generated and requires a headset.

Why Use 360 Video

For years, Google has utilized 360 video to showcase the interior of businesses and roads. If you’ve ever used Google Street Map view or clicked through a tour of the inside of a business from Google, then you’ve seen how they use 360 video. You can see the new ways they’re looking to implement 360 video here. Facebook has also incorporated 360 for its users. Many people are adding it their profile photos and header.

Immersion

360 video allows you to give a real-time and real-life experience. Users can essentially experience the world at the touch of a button. Check out Facebook’s ad for 360. Then checkout Oreo’s animated 360 video on YouTube.

Why Use VR

VR is easily accessible and rapidly growing in popularity. Because it’s growing, but still new, you have a disproportionate advantage by implementing a new but quickly adopted technology to connect to your audience. Marketing includes controlling every touch point that a prospect and customer has with your organization. Take control of their perception of you even though they’re nowhere near you.

Disproportionate Advantage

Start the relationship early and before your competition has the chance to interact with your prospects. By adopting a new technology into your marketing you’ll capture market share and brand awareness that will take the competition years to catch up to, if ever.

Scalability

Since the beginning of selling, the demonstration and free-trial have been go-to methods that consistently prove valuable. But, what if you could offer demonstrations and free-trials without giving away product, time, or having to hire staff? What if you had an infinitely scalable marketing tool that demonstrated and offered experiences with no additional cost to you? Ya, that’d be pretty nice for your margins and customer experience.

How To Use VR In Marketing

Marriott hotels is already using VR to demonstrate their rooms so people can experience the hotels before they ever arrive. Likewise, create a virtual environment of your product, service, and establishment to start the customer experience sooner.

What Is The VR/360 Video Process?

Pre-production

Success favors the prepared. Before filming, we need to plan, research, problem-solve, and organize ideas. In the pre-production stage, we prepare and set the groundwork to start filming:

  • Goals
  • Strategy
  • Scope of Works
  • Budget
  • Select the story
  • Create timeline
  • Script creation
  • Casting
  • Team & equipment
  • Location finding

We will likely need several meetings to accomplish the above:

  • Fact finding meeting – your company and the video team talk purpose and strategy
  • Pre-production meeting – producer and your point of contact figure out timeline, characters, and location details
  • Site visit – optional, but usually very helpful
  • Shoot preparation – producer makes sure scripts & characters are approved, and schedule & location are finalized

Production

The production stage is much more straightforward and what you’d expect:

  • Sound, lighting, equipment set up
  • Interviews
  • Voice overs
  • B-roll – the extra footage

Post-production

The producer and editor review footage, transcribe, put the story together, and improve color and sound. Post-production process:

  • Log interviews
  • Produce final story
  • Select music
  • Editing video
  • Reviews/approvals
  • Final Delivery
